Where it began
Tupuna Pai began on the East Coast of Aotearoa New Zealand, grounded in Māori principles — especially kaitiakitanga, the guardianship of the natural world. It was developed alongside our founding partner, Whāngārā Farms, whose He Rau Ake Ake 100-year plan and Four Pou values framework shaped how the platform thinks.
The question was simple: an organisation can have a strong values framework on paper, but how do you bring it to life in the day-to-day decisions that actually shape the future?
